Crochet can be worn

Ahhh…the zen of crochet. The world is an overwhelming place and crochet creates a sense of calm while creating a meaningful piece of art. I design wearable, everyday pullover sweaters and cardigans in tunisian crochet, plus a few accessories and items for the home too. You can find my pattern library on Etsy and Ravelry.

But I don’t know how to crochet!

Don’t worry, I got you! I teach four classes from beginner to advanced. I prefer to teach in-person and I love to travel, so reach out if you’d like to gather some friends and have a group lesson! My patterns are written with the adventerous beginner in mind and are a great next step once you’ve got the basics down. If anyone tries to tell you to make a scarf or dishcloth when you really want to tackle that sweater, walk away. You CAN do it.

Class List

• Intro to Crochet
  • covers the basics including selecting hooks and yarns, foundation chain, single, half-double, and double crochet stitches, and accuracy tips (like keeping those edges straight!)
• Advanced Crochet
  • learn to read patterns in both written and chart form, and discover the magic of shaping with increases, decreases, and working center out
• Intro to Tunisian Crochet
  • no standard crochet experience necessary! Class includes selecting hooks and yarns, foundations, standard forward and return pass and delves into textured stitches – as many as we can cover – I’ll keep thowing them out until the group wilts :-)
• Advanced Tunisian Crochet
  • use a double ended hook and two yarns to make colorwork magic in both flat rows and in the round
