Suitable weather will be here by the weekend. A top from barely 7/8 yard? No problem! (Actually a helluva challenge but I live for that stuff) This linen came from JoAnn so getting more wasn’t an option. I had to piece together scraps but hid it in the underarm. Used contrast quilting cotton for the under collar and inner yoke, and took my time binding everything to make the guts just as pretty as the outside. Vintage buttons from the stash. Found a remnant of this dotty stretch twill for $3 and had just enough to make New Look 6606, which has cute front pleats and an invisible side zip. Entire outfit finished just in time for the 18” of snow headed our way tomorrow. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve sewn custom knitting bags and I had a blast creating these two for a repeat customer who loves bright colors as much as I do. 🩵🩷💛 Threw in a couple of mini bag clip-ons made from her scraps.
